Requests for new service need to be made at least one business day prior to the date you want your service connected. You will need to complete a Request for Residential Services Application. Same-day service requests made before 3 p.m. will have a charge of $25; requests made after 3 p.m. will have a charge of $50.

A credit reference from a commercial credit source is required for all new applicants and for current members who have not maintained a good payment record with Boone Electric. This will help determine the amount of the security deposit, which is based on the Potential Delinquency Risk of the applicant(s) or member(s). Additional meters will also require a security deposit. In addition, there will be a non-refundable $10 service connection charge added to your first bill.

Requests for transfer of service are similar to those for new service. You will also need to complete a Request for Residential Services Application.

A final meter reading, taken by Boone Electric, is required on the date specified. Any deposits made will be applied to your account to determine your final amount due or refund. Disconnect orders must be made at least one business day prior to the date for service to be discontinued. You will need to complete the Disconnect Current Electric Service portion of the Request for Residential Services Application.
